Fundraising Fun!  (April 2011)

Since our last update we have been very busy with fundraising events and information stalls. In March and early April we took part in the wonderful Altering Images Roadshows. If you haven't heard of these before, check out the wonderful Birch Hill Dog Rescue to find out how you can get involved. We can't say enough good things about this cracking charity - so please check out their page and show your support!

A Vegan Paradise

We have long been fans of The One Earth Shop which is the only 100% vegan store in Birmingham - and the owner of this lovely shop has shown how big-hearted he is by supporting PAWING in the Easter Raffle! Follow the link by clicking in the shop photo below to check out their Facebook page and keep updated with all the latest offers!

Cat News!

Of the 6 cats below, Thomas, the ginger boy and Charlotte are now in a loving home. Homes are still needed for the remaining 4. Please get in touch if you can offer a safe, loving home to any of these cats. Thank you!

HOMES URGENTLY NEEDED - MIDLANDS AREA!

In early January, we were asked to help a lady who was overrun with cats. Further enquiries revealed that she lived in a small maisonnette and had 13 cats of different sexes - but only one of them was neutered. Her landlord had complained and the RSPCA and the police had become involved. It was agreed that she could keep three, but if homes could not be found for the remaining ten cats, they would be removed - and the risk of euthanasia was (and still is) high. PAWING swung into action and ran an urgent appeal on our Facebook page. Two fabulous homes were subsequently found for four of the cats - but we are still desperate for homes (Midlands area preferred) for the remaining six cats.
