PAWING's primary aim is to fund and care for the animals in our care. At present, we are a 'forever home' to 7 hens, 3 mice, 9 cats, 4 rats, 2 rabbits and 2 dogs. Many of our animals have been rescued from dire situations, which means that many often need expensive specialist veterinary care. As well as caring for our own rescued animals, we also regularly assist as helpers and advisers on ex-battery hen rehoming days, help injured small wildlife in our area, provide help for pets in need (such as small donations* towards urgent veterinary care, grooming etc), provide other rescuers with assistance and promote sanctuaries and appeals on our website.
*PAWING's ability to provide donations depends entirely on public support. This means that if our funds are low, we are unable to assist.
How You Can Help
Absolutely none of our work is possible without your support. Thanks to the generosity of the public, we have been able to help animals in distress and pain since 2007 - please help us to continue our vital work by making a donation today. Presently, we do not have an online donation system, but we are able to accept cheques. Please see our details below.
Please make cheques payable to PAWING and send to:
PAWING, P.O. BOX 127, KIDDERMINSTER DY10 3UZ
Thank you!
Other ways you can help animals: In the UK alone, thousands of unwanted pets are euthanased every year. Meanwhile, breeders and puppy farmers produce more and more puppies and kittens - many of whom will end up in a rescue centre and face euthanasia. The answer is clear - if you want a dog or a cat, please do your research, make sure you have the time and money to care for it - and always, always rescue. Remember - if you breed or buy, unwanted animals will die!
Kick cruelty out of your diet: The most effective way that an individual can help a whole host of animals - and themselves - is to go vegan. Often misunderstood and called 'extreme', a vegan diet is a healthy (and tasty) way of life for a growing number of people. There are delicious vegan alternatives to all common meats, such as bacon, chicken and turkey - and they are all better for you! You can find out more from The Vegan Society!
